In the fourth race of the season, the Cyclones continue to improve their individual race times and team placement. Head coach Ivory Veale said, “[we have] finished successfully ahead of another school for the 3rd consecutive race.” The Cyclones finished ahead of Pacific Union and have finished ahead of Cal Maritime two times now.
Junior Laura Schultz continues to lead the Cyclones as the top Mills finisher. Schultz posted a 27:55 race time at the Bronco Invitational. Mills second finisher, junior Karena Huang, PRed with a race time of 28:25. This was the first time in her career that Huang ran a sub 30 minute race. First-year, Tsion McYates ran her first 6K of the season and posted a sub 30 minute race time, 29:24, and finished 3rd for the Cyclones.
Mills will be heading to the William Jessup Invitational on Nov. 20th. The following weekend the Cyclones will be competing at the ACAA Conference Championships in New York.
