Former Mills Tennis Player Helps Launch Non-Profit for Female Athletes

Mills alumna, Tracy Edwards ’03, recently helped launch No Bull Sports, an online non-profit community which empowers young female athletes across the nation. The new online forum was launched on October 11, 2016, coinciding with International Day of the Girl. Edwards, who played tennis while attending Mills, is thrilled to share this project with the Mills community.

The project offers both online resources, including information on a variety of topics and a network of mentors, as well as scholarships, the first of which will be awarded in December 2016. Founder, Kelly Vucovich, notes that “for many, athletics symbolize a ticket out of their current situation, but with sports expenses constantly increasing, not everyone can afford to participate in extracurricular activities.” No Bull Sports works to combat this, offering quarterly scholarships to provide trailblazing young women the financial resources they need to achieve their academic and athletic goals.

Edwards works on marketing and project management for No Bull Sports and credits her time at Mills, especially on the courts with influencing her work. She remembers the support of and comradery with teammates and coaches, noting that her experience as a Mills student-athlete has allowed her to participate in fitness events as an adult.
