The Mills soccer team hosted UC Santa Cruz for their last home game of the season. The game marked the final home contest for the Cyclones' four seniors: Ashley Crespin, Terrapin Frazier, Alex Miller, and Ariahna Sanchez. All four seniors have played for the duration of their Mills career. Miller and Sanchez are both four-year players, while Crespin and Frazier are each in their third year on the team. All four are impact players, playing nearly every game this season. Today, Crespin led the team with two shots on goal, while Frazier added a shot.
UC Santa Cruz got off to a quick start, scoring in the second minute of the game. They would go on to add two more goals in the first half. In the second half the Cyclones came out strong. Santa Cruz added a fourth goal in the 65th minute, which the Cyclones answered on Jessica Wong's goal. Wong's goal came off a rebound from one of Crespin's shots on goal. Against continued pressure from the UCSC offense first year keeper Madison Cantrell had eight saves.
The Cyclones wrap-up their season next Saturday when they travel to Santa Cruz for a rematch of today's game.
