In this morning's preliminary session, Berkay set the tone for the day with a pool record, Mills record, and first place finish in the 400 IM. In the 100 breaststroke Soltz qualified for her first individual final with an 11th place finish. Her swim also earned her 5th place on the Mills Top Ten list. Leishman became the third individual qualifier of the day in the 100 back. With a time of 59.97 she broke her own school record by almost two seconds.
