Taylor Garcia, Mills College Sports Information Director and Communications and Operations
Coordinator, is one of six recipients of this year's NCAA Inclusion CoSIDA Grant. Developed as a
partnership between CoSIDA and the NCAA, this program includes a visit to the NCAA national office
as well as the CoSIDA convention in June of this year. Of the six recipients, Garcia is one of two from
In her first year as a Cyclone, Garcia has made an immediate impact on the APER department. Her ability
to highlight the student-athlete experience and her passion for athletics communications is inspiring.
Director of Athletics, Allie Littlefox shared, "Countless times this year I have heard the excitement from
our student-athletes about being featured on the website or social media. Taylor's work makes our
athletes feel valued and she is helping share the amazing things they do with the broader Mills campus
and beyond. I cannot think of someone better suited to receive this grant."
With this grant, Garcia will have the opportunity to learn from a CoSIDA mentor for the upcoming
academic year and will be able to continue to grow her skills.
