First year swimmer, Morgan Leishman is this week's Cyclone of the Week. Leishman had an impressive first performance in last week's dual meet against Cal State East Bay. For her performance she was named the LAC Performer of the Week.
In her first meet of the season Leishman, made an immediate impact on the Mills swim team, breaking three school records. The Cyclones faced a very strong D-II Cal State-East Bay team, but Leishman was excited to step up against the tough competition. Self-motivated and incredibly hard working, she saw her efforts pay off as she became the school record holder in the 100 back 1:02.44 (old record from 2014), 200 back 2:14.98 (old record from 2008), and 200 IM2:20.51 (old record from 2006). In both the 200 back and the 200 IM she bested the previous record by four seconds. In addition to these records she earned second place in the 100 back, and fourth in both the 200 back and 200 IM.
